Trust & Security
At The Pillars, the privacy and security of our participants’ and partner organisations’ information comes first, and we understand the significance of the trust placed in us. We employ several strategies to ensure appropriate handling and protection of data.
Participant Data
During the course of our programs, many participants share personal information that is, indeed, personal. Any personal information that are shared in confidence are not shared with anyone outside of The Pillars, which includes employers in the event where a program is organised at an organisation.
For the success of our programs, it is paramount that participants trust the confidentiality of their personal information, especially personal information that is shared between the participant and their personal guide.
We do, however, share information if a participant is actively participating in the program, and we do share information on a aggregate level (for example, we share information about the collective change of scores of a cohort) to demonstrate impact. However, this information will not be traceable to the individual. For any other information that we would like to share, we will always seek permission from the participant.
Participants are free to share any of their own information, learnings, or experiences as desired, but following the same theme, are asked not to share other participants’ personal information.
Organisational Data
In the same spirit, we treat any information obtained from our partner organisations with confidence. We will not share specific and identifiable information without permission. We may share a client list on our website or anonymised results for marketing purposes. However, when an organisation is specifically mentioned, we will seek permission before doing so.
Data Security
To protect data from a data security perspective, we employ processes and technologies across the organisation to secure data, systems, and services from intentional and unintentional threats and malicious attacks. Our approach can be summarised as follows:
- Identifying and managing security risks to valuable organisational data, systems, and services
- Protecting assets by developing, implementing, and operating appropriate levels of controls and safeguards
- Employing situational awareness and monitoring capabilities to ensure the timely discovery and detection of security events
- Preparing to take appropriate and decisive action when affected by security events
- Developing plans and exercises to ensure the resilience of key organisational processes and the ability to return to normal operating conditions quickly and efficiently
The Pillars is committed to continually improving and enhancing our security program to meet current and future challenges. As such, we will alter our program accordingly as needed and update this statement when required.
